Video Thoughts:

I agree with what this video is saying. I think living for the real world is better than living for the smart phone in your hand. I like every point he made because it make me think but it also makes me wonder about all the chances I've missed. I think I will try to think about the points made in this video as much as possible. The only thing I didn't agree with was leaving your phone at home but that's just for safety reasons.

What is a 'splash page'? Look it up. Explain what they are and how they are used. Find an example of a splash page in Google Images. Save the image to you computer and then upload it to your blog post. Hint - see below.

A splash page (or splash screen) is a page that pops up before the user can get to the next screen, it kinda sounds like a pop up add. It advertises a website by putting up pictures, graphics, or even using sounds. This is so users are interested in viewing the website. Sometimes the user has to click the screen to get to the website, other times it sends you straight to it. Example below

Status update! Tell me where  you are at on your product website? Can you be finished by tomorrow at the end of the hour? Do you need more time? How much more time? Be honest and explain yourself.

I think I'm going to need another few days to finish the website. I'm a little more than halfway done. I think if I had a few more days I would be done.

Welcome back! How was your Spring Break? Tell me all about it. You've been out of school for 10 days so I know you will have plenty to share. Make it good!

On Wednesday night I went to my friend Miranda's first concert and bought her CD and afterwards I had a sleepover with my friend Jillian. On Thursday I packed for Florida all day and then I had to work that night.Friday I flew to Florida with my grandma and my cousin Lily. We stayed with family in Clear water, Florida and their place was awesome. They literally lived right on the ocean. There was a deck off their backyard that went over the water. They also had a pool and hot tub in the backyard. So we basically spent Saturday and Sunday laying in the backyard. I got insane sunburns. Monday it rained so we went shopping at the outlet malls, long story short, Charlotte Ruesse is officially my favorite store. Tuesday we went to the actual beach and laid out and Wednesday I went to Universal. Thursday was beach shopping and Friday we went home.

Do you like the layout of this project? Have you benefited from your brainstorming sheet? Was it more helpful or annoying when starting to map out your website? Explain why.

I like the layout of this project, I'm just still confused on most things in photo shop. The brainstorming sheet was pretty helpful when mapping out my website because I had a visual of what my website was going to look like.

After reading below to see where you should be on your product website - are you caught up? What helps you stay caught up in class? Do you like having small checkpoints? Are you behind? If so, what are you going to do to get caught up?

The only thing I don't have one yet is my footer. Everything else is solid. I think that if I work really hard today I can gt caught up on my footer and everything should work out OK. Usually listening to music helps me stay focused in class.

What idea do you have that is going to make you product website different, unique or unlike anyone else? If you're answer is you don't know - it's time to start THINKING. Explain your idea.

My idea is to make an online boutique of all the teenage girl's essentials. What I mean by this is every girl has those things she "needs", like bags, earrings, the perfect outfit, and shoes to go with it. My website is a place where all those come together. It's not like any other website, because it doesn't sell just anything. It breaks the products down into specific styles, like girly or edgy.
